Project Application

For smaller residential work, repairs, replacements, accessory structures, backup generators, solar energy systems, battery backup power systems, and other limited-scope projects that do not create new living area. Use this path for work that stays within a narrower scope, even when the project involves building components, electrical or mechanical systems, fixtures, equipment, or detached improvements.

ℹ️ Third-Party Review & Inspections (SB 1202 / SB 1252) — If you are using a third-party provider for plan review or inspections for qualifying residential generators or battery backup power systems, you do not need a separate application. Complete this Project Application and identify the third-party provider and the review or inspections they will perform.

For a new home on a vacant lot, a teardown/rebuild, an addition, or a major remodel that creates or changes living area. Use this path when the work changes the home’s layout, removes or moves walls, expands the footprint, or otherwise needs full residential building review.
